Lokeren, September 18, 2026 – What started in 2020 with one of the first Movu shuttle installations has grown into a long-standing automation partnership between Movu Robotics and Ceratec. Six years later, the collaboration spans 26 projects, more than 450 shuttles and close to half a million automated pallet locations across Europe.
The first operational system, installed for raw-material storage at Simplot in Warneton, Belgium, started with just a few shuttles. Since then, both companies have progressed together from compact applications to increasingly large, high-throughput and technically demanding installations, including the tallest Movu atlas system currently in operation worldwide.
Today, already 22 out of 26 systems are live in operation, giving both companies a substantial base of proven, real-world integration experience.
Integration expertise built project by project
Ceratec has been integrating Movu atlas since its early market introduction, building extensive expertise in designing the complete intralogistics system around the technology. From material-flow analysis and system design to automation, controls and software integration, Ceratec takes responsibility for bringing the different technologies together into one coordinated solution.
That expertise has grown project by project through close collaboration between both companies’ engineering, software and commissioning teams. Lessons from operational installations feed back directly into new designs, supporting increasingly demanding applications in scale, throughput and system complexity.
