Job Description
In this role, you're responsible for the setup, configuration, interfacing and integration of semi- and fully-automated pallet or tote shuttles (Atlas 1D, 2D, e.scala) as well as automated mobile robots (iFollow) at our customer locations throughout the United States and Canada.
The first 12-18 months, you will predominantly be working on a large project we have in Tracy, CA. After this project, you may be traveling more frequently across the U.S. and Canada. However, we want all of our employees to have a good work-life balance and not be away for prolonged periods.
Key result areas & deliverables
- You're responsible for the setup, configuration, interfacing, and integration of the automated shuttle system
- You interface with WCS and WMS and integrate them into the customer’s warehouse and IT systems
- You're responsible for the complete commissioning process until the project has been signed off by the customer
- You work on electrical (DC), mechanical, PLCs (Beckoff), software (TCP/IP), sensors
- You work at a variety of customer sites, including cold storage facilities
- You troubleshoot issues and proactively find solutions
- You're hands-on and able to make small repairs
Qualifications
This is how we know you're up for the job:
- You bring multiple years of experience relevant to the described position
- Electrical engineering experience is a must
- You are comfortable in a startup environment but also in a large organization with many stakeholders (referring to the size and fast growth of stow US in relation to our headquarters in Belgium)
- You are willing to travel throughout the United States on a regular basis and for training in Europe
